Why Hearing Care Is My Passion

Hearing Care

Why we do what we do

I sometimes get asked why I chose the profession of audiology. It was just luck I often say. It certainly was not planned I kind of fell into it really.

The more important question is WHY do I practice audiology after 15 years? Well that’s easy! The long and short of it is I love helping people. I have personally moved out the audiology field on 2 occasions only to move back in almost immediately. There is something about what we do. Something very special.

Is it inspiring people to take action or is it all the cool hearing aid technology that we get play with? Is it giving hope where hope was lost? Perhaps it’s seeing someone smile again when they hear sound for the first time?

Hearing Care

Even out of clinic, when I worked in management and project management I loved inspiring people about our profession! Who doesn’t want to change people’s lives? And who doesn’t want to be the best at it?

To inspire a team to make a difference to so many (at one point I had 46 direct reports), and for them to inspire me to keep pushing the boundaries of what our company can do.

I was recently offered another leadership role within a global pharmaceutical company and I said no. Why? Because this is what I do this is what I love. Do what makes you passionate do more of what you love and less of what’s a chore.

So what now? So after 15 years working for/ with companies I feel it’s time for  me to put something back in hearing care. To put my passion and my spin on what cutting edge hearing aid technology combined with a cutting edge hearing care clinic should be.

Hearing Care

To build something that not only provides a services such as Invisible Hearing AidsTinnitus ManagementEar Wax Removal but to do this with wellbeing at the for front of our minds.

Why Hearing & Wellbeing I get asked. Well as passionate as I am about audiology I am also passionate about wellbeing. Helping people achieve their goals and find their inner self happiness. It just so happens that I can combine the 2 hearing loss and motivation in my current business.

We’re going to build something that’s not just removing your ear wax, help with Tinnitus or helping you get the latest hidden hearing aid we’re also going to give you the best possible experience and help you achieve everything you need.

We want to deliver something different from the standard clinical experience of you have a problem you need this to fix it! Because clinical alone won’t fix it. Hearing aids and hearing aid technology are only part of the solution. A wellbeing hearing loss mind set is the other part.

Hearing Care

What you need to help you have the best chance of hearing well is good hearing aid technology, a good understanding of your hearing loss, a passionate and caring hearingcare professional and most importantly a motivated YOU the client.

When we have all of these thing in combination then we certainly make magic things happen. And when magic things happen then that makes audiology the best job in the world.
