Bernafon Alpha
The Bernafon Alpha is based on the Demont groups Polaris computer chip. This chip is the most powerful of all the chips you are likely to find in a hearing device. The hearing aids offer super sound quality and perform exceptionally well in Background noise.
Bernafon uses a system which they call Hybrid technology. It tries to emulate the hearing of animals. Effectively animals can hear sounds 360 degrees but they can change this hearing so they filter unwanted noises and really focus on what’s in front of them for example when they’re hunting.
What this means for you is the hearing aid will maintain a 360 degree noise source fully immersing you in high definition surround sound but should you want to really focus in on one particular event the hearing aid will change the way it is processing and allow you to focus effectively.

Hybrid Noise Management
Most hearing aids try to reduce noise constantly, but this will give an unnatural sound. A tinny sound with an echo for example. Or like being in a tunnel without stereo sound. Hybrid noise management is unique in that it allows you to hear everything and only employs noise management strategies when needed.
Will this not make it more difficult to hear in noise? NO! far from it. Hybrid hearing starts from the brain and not the ears. By giving the brain the full sound picture the brain can then work out how to process the sound.
Conventional hearing aids give the brain a filtered picture which has a negative effect on hearing in noise. Hybrid hearing will allow you to keep fresher and stay in those tough situations longer.
Hybrid Sound Processing
The hearing aid from Bernafon will process the incoming sound data based on 48000 calculations a second. From this the hearing aid will then decide whether to keep the sound in high definition 360 degree sound or add some noise filtration. At any time, you can choose whether to connect or disconnect the high definition or noise cancelling.

Hybrid Feedback Cancelation
What is that whistling? It’s from your hearing aid! Ever had that said or even heard it? This is known as feedback. When the sound leaks out of your hearing aid and creates a whistling noise this is feedback.
